BLACK LIMESTONE GARDEN
Balham backyard
This Balham garden was designed to take advantage of the afternoon sun with the addition of a second patio to the rear of the property. This black limestone patio remains clear of the shadow cast by the house even into the later months of the year. The patios were laid on a newly poured, reinforced concrete base to ensure durability for many years to come.
The planter conceals a BBQ from the view from the house and the two patios are linked by a path that borders the very low maintenance artificial lawn.
A raised patio ensures a near seamless, step free transition from inside the house to outside once the multi-fold patio doors are opened and provides a large area for dining or entertaining.
The large garage at the rear of the garden is almost completely concealed with the construction of a batten fence screen and planting of large Photinia trees.
New boundary fencing all around finishes the look from the street side and remote controlled, dimmable lighting brings the garden to life at night
