Over the majority of the garden we laid a new lawn and put up simple, close board fencing down both sides to create a traditional look. We retained some of the tropical-effect planting on the left-hand side of the garden to give a warm visual feel from the hot tub. We re-rendered and painted the wall by the hot tub and laid light coloured paving to complement the bleached wood kitchen floor, inlaid with a square of warm wooden deck as a surround for the hot tub.
The result is a garden that connects the new kitchen to the patio and hot tub as one big living area, with attractive green space beyond.
