The young owners of this property were doing it up to sell at a profit and had built a rear extension with a big folding door from the kitchen. The garden was a building site and needed to be reconstructed around the low retaining wall, which was the only existing feature.

Bamboo Landscaping produced a simple, clean design that added greatly to the saleability of the house.

Viewed from the kitchen, the eye is drawn to the steps from the lower seating deck up to the false grass area and the olive tree at the back. We bounded the garden with a wall at the back and slatted trellis on the sides, the wood contrasting beautifully with the white render of the walls and the permanent green of the ‘lawn’.

Artificial grass is a brilliant practical solution, providing a realistic green area all year round and ensuring everything stays clean, thus making the garden work as an exterior room.
